On May 10-11, 2024, a crucial Basic Life Support (BLS) training program took place in the gym area of CentroPark, welcoming 20 participants eager to enhance their emergency response skills. This training was designed to equip employees with the essential knowledge and skills needed to effectively respond to medical emergencies.

During the program, participants learned to recognize life-threatening emergencies and how to administer basic CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation). They practiced using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and provided effective rescue breathing, as well as techniques to relieve airway obstructions caused by choking.

A key focus was on team dynamics in a multi-rescuer scenario, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and communication during emergencies. Participants engaged in hands-on skills practice and participated in simulated emergency scenarios, allowing them to apply their newly acquired skills in realistic settings.

The primary purpose of the BLS training was to ensure that employees felt prepared, confident, and capable of acting swiftly in medical emergencies. By empowering them with these vital skills, the program significantly contributed to creating a safer and more secure workplace.

We were fortunate to have Ms. Moly Villanueva and Ms. Sam Santos as guest speakers from the Red Cross Philippine Bataan Chapter, who shared their expertise and insights throughout the training.

This BLS training marked an important step toward enhancing workplace safety and readiness, fostering a culture of preparedness among all participants.
