The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) confirmed that it does not have jurisdiction over the operations of Central One Bataan PH Inc.,
𝐏𝐀𝐆𝐂𝐎𝐑 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐬 𝐍𝐨 𝐉𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐜.
The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) clarified that it does not have jurisdiction over the operations of Central One Bataan, a business process outsourcing (BPO) company located in Bagac, Bataan. PAGCOR regulatory officer, Atty. Joseph Lobo, made this announcement during the meeting of the Bataan Provincial Peace and Order Council, chaired by Bataan Provincial Governor Joet Garcia, on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.
"From the start naririnig naman na walang secondary license si Central One Bataan and nag issue kami ng Certification regarding that.
I clear lang po namin that what we issued is a certification na eto yung listahan nung aming mga licensee, regardless po wala kaming concern don sa AFAB, CEZA and APECO.
It was clear naman na established si Central One Bataan under or locator ni AFAB and under EO 13 which defines kung ano yung jurisdiction ng online gaming between PAGCOR, CEZA, APECO and AFAB.
It was clear naman na dapat kay AFAB yung jurisdiction since locator nila yon at wala kay PAGCOR.
What we issued is a list na hindi namin licensee si Central One and we gave yung mga listahan na mayroon kaming license.” Atty. Lobo said, emphasizing that the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) is responsible for regulating the company, not PAGCOR.
